What will twonkey media do for me and do i need it?

Hi everybody, I'm new to Twonky media and the forum, I'm hoping I'm not asking this question in the wrong place! I'm not new to media sreaming, having a Qnap 409 turbo nas holding a large video and music library, currently using a Squeeze box Classic too stream music and a popcorn A110 to stream video photos' also I recently added a LG405su theatre system which is DLNA compliant and streams a large arrray video formats. Each of these devices access their media by navigating and displaying the relevant file structure presenting the final file structure as a list , with exception of the Squeezebox.
So my question is How will Twonkey server and manager change this, I've seen no screen shots/video of how it might present my films on the popcorn etc, I've not downloaded Twonky as yet but would certainly buy it if It ipresented, say a film, with DVD cover and poster background and maybe a synopsis of the plot

You can download it and try it for (ISTR) 30 days. Why don't you grab it and give it a whirl?

How it presents your films etc depends to some degree on your client, but also the limitations of the DLNA protocol. While it can serve up the DVD cover, if you provide it, I don't believe there is any way to get it to serve the background and plot.

Hi thanks for the reply,
I'll give it a trial, even the DVD cover would be a start, It's been a critisim of my setup by friends who almsost all say "would rather have the physical DVD in my hand" I can partly see their point because when looking through my library its usually something about the cover I recognise rather than reading the title, however way quicker on the system and the films always there! how many times have I spent an age looking for a DVD and suprise there's no disc in the boxx.. next stop kids bedroom floor!

I'm using Ember Media Manager revisited to provide the DVD covers, and Twonky displays those just fine on my Samsung TV. There are some things you need to do (such as ensure it is named exactly the same as the movie file), but it should work if the client supports it.
