Change list in folder view - bug or customizable?

Hi all,

I am so far happy with the audio-streaming capabilities of Twonky server.

One issue plagues me, however.

A significant number of my files are old CD-Rips wich are not fully tagged.

I use the option to navigate the actual folder organization.

My files all are named accordingly, i.e. the first track starts with 01-Trackname, the second 02-Trackname and so on.

However - especially when browsing the folders, the view I get from Twonky server is that the files are sorted after the actual trackname, which in my opionon beats the idea of browsing the folder structure.

An example:
1. Once Upon A Time
2. All The Things She Said
3. Ghost Dancing
4. Alive And Kicking
....

Would display as:
1) Alive And Kicking
2) All The Things She Said
3) Ghost Dancing
4) Once Upon A Time

Anything I can do about by editing a config-file??

Yours,
McT

I'll let someone else comment on the config file.

TwonkyServer needs metadata to work properly. If your files don't contain it, but are organized by folders which contain the album name and artist there is software like 'Tag & Rename' which can quickly create tags for you based on your folder structure.

Hi McTrinsic,

I think this is what you need:
See http://www.twonkyforum.com/viewtopic.ph ... ame#p34559

Hope that works for you.

Hi jof,

thanks a lot for the answer.

I have been busy with my server on other aspects, so I wasn't able to test the solution out yet.

Will do so either today or tomorrow.

Anyways thanks for digging this out for me, I was not able to find it!!
