Using transcoding to perform volume leveling

Hello,

Most of my MP3 collection has ReplayGain/volume_leveling information embedded in ID3 tags. Unfortunately, my UPNP media renderer, a Yamaha RX-V2065 receiver, can't read them. I'm therefore trying to see if I can use ffmpeg to perform server side volume leveling on the fly with TwonkyServer. I've worked out a way to script ffmpeg to do this, but I'm wondering if anyone knows if Twonky server can support calling this script whenever it serves a mp3 file from my library.

I don't know, but I'm sharing your post with our transcoding experts. If they respond, I'll let you know what they said.
