is it possible to use transcoding with a windows home server

i just found the way t enable transcoding on linux, but i would like to use it with my whs too. is it possible?

That really depends whether FFmpeg has been tested and runs on WHS. You might want to check their site to see.

would be nice, if i could get coreAVC to run, because it is the most efficient codec, but i have really no idea, how to do that.
the transcoding-tools, you are mentioning in the cgi-bin-folder obviously (after my test now) are working, but with a high load.

You need a pretty beefy CPU to do real-time video transcoding.

as its been pointed out transcoding is cpu intensive

are you using an OEM WHS or self built?
