I've just downloaded and installed twonkyserver as part of a project to build an Ubuntu based media server. I can't find the twonkymedia-config html file.

Can anyone please help?

Why do you want to find this file? It does not contain any user configerable or changeable content.

Because that's the one that the Twonky install instructions tell you to open, which I'm assuming is the one where you add your media to be shared.

The Twonky server configuration pages are accessed through a web browser. The web address is-
http://<ipaddress>:9000/config

Replace <ipaddress> with the ip address of your machine running Twonky server.

Thanks parnott.

Just tried what you've suggested and the browser can't connect so I've obviously still got problems elsewhwere :(

Crisis sort of gone away, I can't access Twonky from a browser but it's automatically added the samba shares.

Unfortunately it does mean I am stuck with the default view but at least it's working.

Twonky and Samba are two totally different and unrelated technologies.

If the Twonky server is not showing up in your media player then the Twonky server service is not running or your PCs firewall is blocking the network traffic that UPNP/DLNA devices need to communicate with each other.
