Virus detected in TMS [False alarm]

Hi Support

I use Rising Antivirus on my WHS 2011 machine, After installation and first scan, it has reported Trojan.Win32.Generic.129B721B in TwonkyMediaServerWatchdog.exe. I'm assuming it is a false positive as it's the only infected file found in a a complete scan. I thought I'd let you know.

Thanks for reporting this. I expect this is a false positive because we are scanning the network looking for servers and media. I'll forward this to our developers so they can look into this.

Last week we discovered that one of our automated build servers was no longer signing our files in a proper manner. This is causing your virus detection software to think TwonkyServer could be a suspicious program. Although TwonkyServer does NOT have a virus, this is something that we plan to address ASAP. We'll post an update on TwonkyServer as soon as it's ready.

This fix will appear in TS 6.0.38. No release date set for this yet. Will occur before the end of the year.
