QNAP to XBox 360 Streaming Lag

So I've been searching and reading for about an hour now and have come up with pretty much nothing. AHHH

Ok, so I'm running a QNAP TS119p+ with the latest TMS QPGK 6.0.34. I'm trying to just stream music files stored on my NAS (.wma's and .mp3's) to my new XBox 360. TMS shows up in the XBox menu and so do all my music files. The problem is when I go to play one of the files, the playback is excruciatingly choppy and laggy. Now, I'm able to access TMS from other computers and even my Nokia N900 with no problems at all. I'm at a total loss here... (I've got the NAS wired into a Cisco WRT610N and the XBox is connected wirelessly) I guess the XBox could be having an issue because it's connected wirelessly, but then I'd notice issues with any other online activity I was attempting on the XBox, right? And none of my other wireless devices get any lag.

Any help is very very much appreciated!

I had a similar effect on a different console, long story short,
it appeared to be a problem with my video component switch at first,
something to do with exceeding white levels in a video scene would cause it lock up lag etc.
but in the end it ended up being a bad port on the switch I was using

I know you mentioned your are connecting wirelessly
If it all possible I would take that part out of the equation
and see if the problem exists when xbox is connected via ethernet

if it doesnt do it then it might be the wifi dongle on the xbox

if it does lag when connected via ethernet,
what types of video are you streaming to the xbox?

I recently upgraded my routers from the wrt610n to the e4200
and other than what I mentioned already, twonky on my 610n was rock solid to the xbox or ps3
but I have them wired, I avoid wireless if at all possible
however, the kids do stream to there ipod/iphones from twonky
and that was pretty solid too
