.mp4 file with apple text stream

Dear Forum,

I have a whole library of mp4 files on my windows server. Twonky shows most of my files on the dlna client. However, it seems that if the .mp4 file contains 3 streams of which the last one is apple text, then that file is not seen/shown as a media file, on the dlna client. I have removed that stream from one file, requested twonky to rescan my directories, after which it does show the file on the client. I can subsequently successfully stream the file to the client.

Any idea what is going wrong? Is this a bug ?

Tnx,
Pascal

What version of Twonky are you using?
Is it a nas version?

I havent seen that issue in relation to a track with apple text
As I have been using twonky since ver 5.x for video
and have a wicked lot of mp4 videos
For the most part they were all created with handbrake
And they All have apple style embedded chapters
which is for the most part what the apple text is
it can be other things too

Here is what is reported from MediaInfo
on one of my mp4 movies

Code: Select all

Text
ID : 3
Format : Apple text
Codec ID	: text
Duration	: 2h 58mn
Bit rate mode	: Variable
Bit rate	: 1 bps
Stream size	: 1.68 KiB (0%)
Encoded date	: UTC 2011-02-01 16:06:37
Tagged date	: UTC 2011-02-01 18:27:11
with that said, I wonder if the Apple text is coorupted/and or some other form other than chapters
Is/are the files in question ones you created or downloaded?
