Has anyone got twonky to correctly read the tags for their entire collection ?

I just cant seem to figure out whats wrong with my files, Ive got 800 tagged mp4's half of which show up as year 1900 another half of them (200) show the poster correctly and 1/4 of the entire collection show up correctly.



I used metax for windows to tag the collection and the poster/date shows up correctly in all other programs, I rewrote the tags with mp3tag one one file but its still showing up as year 1900.

Is a pain, but when I do the date I add it like this

Year-Month-Day

For ex:

2011-01-01

There is a an even longer way to do it, that also adds Hr: Min: Sec:
but the above as a min will do the trick

I have used mp4tag for my entire video collection
and havent had any major issues
on an extremely very very rare occasion
I may have to re-add the cover art

Dam it doesn't seem to be working for me, Guess ill have to wait for support to fix it.

what twonky version are you using?

It may help to remove the file from the media share
wait 1 minute
and then readd the file to media share

In a couple of previous versions of twonky
somtimes had to reboot server for things to get updated

Version 7, I tried copying the files to a new share bit it still comes up as year 1900 even after a reboot.

These are mp4's right?

I just did a quick test to double check I wasnt losing my mind

and I'm not, any more than normal that is

did you modify the navtree?

As here is a screen shot of a default twonky 7
which is using just 2005-01-01 as the year via mp3tag edit
(yes its on xp, running in a vm)

Ah you were right i was using mp3tag actions to add the -01-01 to each date but it was making a new date.

Also the posters not showing problem is solved by r"save tag" or updating any feild.
