Hey, can anyone tell me where the Twonky-mediaserver.ini file would be on a clean install of 7.0? I can't find it anywhere.
Thanks.

Re: Twonky Server7 Configuration
Phibertron,
I'm on Windows 7.
I've also been having trouble with your "Display folders at the root" xml files. They don't seem to work--and I love them. Have you got any ideas?
Thanks--
Dave

Re: Twonky Server7 Configuration
I think I just figured out why they won't work. The mytwonky.com site requires video/photo/music headers.
Or, as is more likely, I put them someplace wrong.
Good luck finding something out. I can't remember if I ever thanked you for the work you did on them. If not, thanks.

Re: Twonky Server7 Configuration
Phibertron,
No rush. It was great when you found out how to do it, but we've lived for years without it.
I found where the Windows 7 twonkyserver.ini is on Windows 7: AppData\Roaming\TwonkyServer. The AppData directory is invisible by default, so it was hard to find. I don't know if Twonky Central changed that to make it harder to modify, but the move from the old Program Data directory came as a bit of a surprise.

Re: Twonky Server7 Configuration
I think the difference is if it is running as a user or system service
that defines wether it goes into <user>\appdata or to <all users>\?
could be wrong about that on win 7
Sadly I have actually never installed it on windows 7, just win2k3 and some vm's
In windows 7 the <all users> is different than in pre-vista there is no appdata
its a link to progamdata for the most part
as a tweaker, the first thing I do is show all files, dont like surprises, or unknowns
