Twonkymedia 6.0.38 does not save configuration

System Ubuntu Server & TwonkyMedia 6.0.38.

After rebooting the server via vebuy settings are not saved (.
Installing the script does. As it says in the instructions.

I tried to install all the files and folders permissions 777, but it is not affected.

I have also seen/observed this anomaly. If you edit the config file manually it's OK, but if you update it and restart from the web interface it appears to load some other configuration.
I believe this is due to it ignoring any commandline config path override, and it's using the default path (ie the same as the application)
Please can someone check?
