Hi all,

I've just bought a Buffa Linkstation Live NAS device, rooted it and so far quite happy with it.. I've realised it has a twonky 5.1 server on it and it seams to work fantastically with my xbox 360.. awesome so far..

So , anyways, reading the buffalo nas forums, http://forum.buffalo.nas-central.org/vi ... 5&start=30 , i noticed that its possible to upgrade from 5.1 to 6.0.3x of twonky server soooo..

1. Im assuming I need to get a real twonkyServer licence, I cant use the one thats inbuilt right?
2. What are the differences between 5.1 and 6.0?

many thanks
Angelo

In a nutshell, TwonkyServer 6.0 should be faster, more stable and contains many bug fixes. If it were my decision, I would upgrade to 6.0.

thanks,

Currently I'm not experiencing any performance or stability issues, but I've just set up the nas, so I'll wait to see how it works..

its good to know its available though :-)

If 5.1 is working fine, I wouldn't bother with an upgrade. :D
