Is the TV wired or wireless?

what make and model router do you have?
There was a previous thread here, that started out just like this one
The solution was to enable mulicast on the router, problem went away

Yup, da router is not in the equation =)
One other thing that you can check is the network config
n4200
IP 192.168.1.1
Subnetmask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 0.0.0.0
TV
IP 192.168.1.2
Subnetmask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 0.0.0.0
It is possible to do this too
n4200

Subnetmask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 0.0.0.0
TV
IP 192.168.1.2
Subnetmask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.1.1
this is just to try and take the network part out of the equation
the only other thing I can think of is, twonky ssdp local host broadcast in the server ini
some turn it off on *nix for different reasons
as it interferes with other media programs noted here inthe forums
