WD World Edition II and Twonky

Hello,

We bought a 2TB WD World Edition II network drive that came with Twonky on it.I have no idea how to upgrade it. There is a control panel for it, but it does not have anything that allows us to access the actual files.

The problems we are having are:

1. Songs are listed alphabetically instead of by track number when viewing under folders. I've seen some mods on how to change this, but I'd need to get to the actual configuration files to do this. I see no way of doing this with what I have available to me on the WD Drive. There must be some way to fix this. (and as an asside, I would think the default would be to show albums in track order, not alphabetically).

2. Won't play wma, or any other format other than MP3. I"ve had to convert every single song over to MP3 to get them to play. The docs for Twonky says they will play these other formats, but my experience does not back this up.

3. For reasons unknown, the Directv Media Share will loose contact with Twonky. On the Directv reciever it just says "unable to contact (or access) media. So far the only way I have been able to get it back is reboot the WD and reboot the Directv box. Sometimes it's one or the other and sometimes it's both. I've actually had a song playing when it just stops and gives the msg it can't contact the media. Sometimes it'll play for 20 minutes, sometimes it'll play for hours.

4. Shuffle does not seem to work reliably. So far I"ve only been able to shuffle songs in a folder, but trying to shuffle the entire music directory just does nothing and then gives the msg it can't reach the media resource.

Is there anyone that can help?

Thank you.

Perfect (it's my 6 procedure) to upgrade to 6 version, but for 7 version, follow my new procedure :
