Hi,
Non recongnized directories
#######################
I installed the new Version of TwonkyServer 7.0.9 on a Debian Linux Server.
Now i mentioned, that there are some Directories, witch are not recognized of twonky.
This is the tree:
The contentdirectory is /multimedia
The 5 missing directories are here (not origininal Name, but the same lenght of name):
/multimedia/DigitalPhoto/Holidays/dir1
/multimedia/DigitalPhoto/Holidays/dir2
....
/multimedia/DigitalPhoto/Holidays/dir5
So i set the parameter "autotree=4" in twonkyserver.ini.
Now i saw 4 of 5 directories, but i didn't know, why i ccould not see the fifth directory (dir5).
The length of the absolute pathname of dir4 was 56 characters.
The length of the missing directories was 57 character. So i renamed the directory and now i can see it too.
My questions:
1. Is this a bug or controled by a parameter in the twonkyserver.ini?
2. "autotree" is obsolet since Version 6.
But what means defaultview=advanceddefault ??
XMP Tag
#######
I use XMP Tags to have a better overlook of my JPG's with my mediaplayer (WD HD Live, or on Android-Tag with bubbleUpnp).
Xmp.dc.subject XmpBag 1 Text 08/2010
My aim was to create the tag "Text 08/2010".
But to my surprise, now i can see the tag "Text 08" which contains another tag "2010".
So is this a real rule to use the character "/" to create sub-tags?

I havent seen an issue with folder depth or folder name lenghtelgonzo wrote: 1. Is this a bug or controled by a parameter in the twonkyserver.ini?
not to say that one doesnt exist
are the folder symbolic links?
Yup, autotree is not used anymoreelgonzo wrote: 2. "autotree" is obsolet since Version 6.
It is the default view.xml file to be given to a clientelgonzo wrote: But what means defaultview=advanceddefault ??
there a couple of different ones, they can be changed per client in the config page
I know in the past, they were seperated with ;elgonzo wrote: My aim was to create the tag "Text 08/2010".

I guess / is another delimiter they may have added for photo tags

Re: Non recongnized directories and (XMP) Tags
Thanx for answering!
I just can tell you the results of my multiple tries..
"autotree" should be obsolet, but it helps me to see deeper sub-directories
Also the use of shorter names of the directory.
There are no symbolic links.
Q: Is there a detail log of the process, which is responsible for the update of the twonky-database?

You can enable logging in the wen interface, and ininitate a rescan
then you can click the view log, to see what it shows
Also,
there are two others reproting a similiar problem over on the community site
