Licence Key (again) and Malfunction

Hi

after using Twonkyserver trial (working well) has expired I decided to purchase it and paid the 20 bucks. But now: when entering the licence key it's not taken (always the same message "Your trial version has expired..."). And my attempts to access the server via upnp network doesn't work anymore - the server is shown but it can't be selected respectively doesn't offer any media contents.

System where the Twonkyserver 7.2 runs upon is Linux Ubuntu 64 bit, and accessing client is Cidero Media Controller.

Help for sorting these issues out will be appreciated.

x.x.x.x = ip of server or hostname of server
xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx = your key

This url will set the key

Code: Select all

http://x.x.x.x:9000/rpc/set_option?cdkey=xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
This url will commit the change to the ini file

Code: Select all

http://x.x.x.x:9000/rpc/set_all

Odd can be a relative term, what is it that seems odd?

Was a while ago so I can't clearly remember what is was but it was basically no feedback. A clear confirmation given by the webpage that the entered code was accepted and ini-file has been successfully been written would help.

Ahh I think I know what you mean
when one uses the rpc commands to set settings
the confirmation that the command has been successful
is that it displays the results of the action as the return in the web page
sure, it could be a bit more descriptive
this can actually be accomplished by editing the config.js
but as long as it worked that's what matters the most for now

sadly, it seems to be a bit slow lately, not sure as to why

If you aren't getting a response from those emails
My tactic with that scenario for any company...
- is to find there corporate contact info
- or the corporate contact info of their parent company
which are hopefully telephone numbers usually
