twonkyproxy

Hi!
Since Twonkyproxy.exe seems to be gone since 7.3 (7.2.7 is the last version, which has it included):
How can i play m3u lists of webradiostreams on my clients in the future?
I already testet, but came to no result...
they have this format:

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1,Antenne Bayern Chillout
http://mp3channels.webradio.antenne.de:80/chillout
#EXTINF:-1,Antenne Vorarlberg - Lounge
http://webradio.antennevorarlberg.at:80/lounge
#EXTINF:-1,ABCLounge
http://listen.radionomy.com/abc-lounge
....
this worked well on until 7.3 :-(

also my old noxon audio does not play anymore with 7.3. it sees the server, i can browse the folders as usual, but after selecting a folder it stops with "connection error"

gone back to 7.2.6-2 for now, everything is working fine for me with that build.

any clues?

regards/hal.

If you look at the release notes for 7.3, they mention this

TwonkyServer Revision History
http://twonkyforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9424
Playlists that contain URLs starting with “http://” do not work.
If you have playlists that heavily rely on such URL,
you may want to defer the update till the next version
.

no mention about twonkyproxy

But I did notice that 7.3 creates the file "twonkyproxy.info" in the appdata directory
its a text file that contains the proxy port, the 7.3 one shows port 9000
which means either its now part of the server, or that was done as a temp measure
not sure which one yet

try and compare the client profile xml files between the versions
there might be something in there that got changed that could be the culprit
maybe not though, but it is worth a peek

Thanks, phibertron.

sorry, it was my fault, i looked about 5 times, but didn´t see this in the rev history ;-)

And for the client profile:
the NOXON_Audio.xml is exactly the same in 7.2.6-2 and 7.3

Anyway, i will wait for the next version, because i heavily use this Sort of Playlists for streaming my favourite webradios.
We will see, if there are some changes about the proxy then.

thank you!

nothing to be sorry about =)

bummer about the client xml not being the culprit

I got word back, twonyproxy is now built into the server,
I was to lazy/sidetracked to test it myself to find that out

I would email them and or also create post on the specific issue with the noxon
as that does sound like something they would want to now about
