OK, total newbie mess up when I installed Twonky Server on my Mac Pro: I didn't bother to pay any attention while setting up my user name and password. I have no idea how to reset these. They apparently are not the same as the ones I used for the store. Please help! I can't access Twonky Server from Linn Konfig.

Thank you!

see if using these rpc calls help

http://127.0.0.1:9000/rpc/set_option?accesspwd=
http://127.0.0.1:9000/rpc/set_option?accessuser=

if that doesn't
you will need to edit the twonkyserver.ini
and change them to equal what you want them to be, save it
and then restart the server
# for protection of the web config pages
accessuser=

# for protection of the web config pages
accesspwd=

Best Regards.

http://127.0.0.1:9000/rpc/set_option?accesspwd=
http://127.0.0.1:9000/rpc/set_option?accessuser=

Its the application folder for twonky

In finder
right click on Documents and choose Show in Enclosing folder
then
right click on Twonky Library and chose Show Package contents
you will then see the folder twonkyserver
and in there you will find the twonkyserver.ini

the actual path is this

/Users/YourUserName/Twonky Library.twonky/twonkyserver/twonkyserver.ini

Thank you!

I found twonkyserver.ini

What application on a MAC do I use to open it?

Sorry I'm obviously such a complete idiot. But I think we're getting close.

Thank you for that. I do know how to fly airplanes......

OK, I changed accessuser and accesspwd.

When in LINN Konfig, with the new user name and password I get the following message: Error: No permission to access server/service.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Twonky Server and I got taken to a page that asked for a user name and password and it wouldn't take the new ones I set up. I double checked twonkeyserver.ini and my new name and password are still in there.

your welcome, see you know something I don't =)

Im betting you are you using Twonky Server 7.3

If yes, they introduced something new into it in regards to user accounts
there is the one we have been dealing with, and then there are client device user accounts
which might be the issue, since how does one enable a stereo to have a user account...

If no, it possible that this is not enabled "Enable sharing for new media receivers automatically"
its located under Media Receivers in Sharing

http://127.0.0.1:9000/webconfig#sharing

PS
I have yet to take the leap to 7.3.0 and I am still using 7.2.8
They keep the installer for 7.2.8 here
http://www.twonkyforum.com/downloads/7.2.8/
.

LOL, yeah.

I had to delete anything with a "twonky" in the name on my computer. Installed 7.2.8. Eureka.

Thank you so much for your help.
