No Album Artwork

I hope you can help. I am new to streaming.
I have just plug in new Akurate DS streamer, downloaded Kazoo on my ipad.
I have a QNAP NAS which comes with Twonky media preinstalled and up until now have been using iTune to Rip CD's in apple lossless.
I have noticed that although in iTunes the album artwork is showing. When I view the files directly on my QNAP or via Kazoo/Twonky Server the artwork is not showing. I am doing something very stupid like simply not ticking a box ?
My plan was to blank the iTunes library when I purchase a Linn and start again with perhaps DBpoweramp. But I want to understand how to do this properly from the start. Hence wondering if the above problem is more itune related or if I am doing something fundamentally wrong.
