Twonky Server 8 and unwanted SSDP CD Events

Since version 8 (incl. 8.1RC) the Twonky Server sends unwanted/unexpected events to my Kodi/XBMC client that cause display issues:
When I browse my photo collection in Kodi, each picture is loaded as expected (via HTTP GET) but additionally Twonky sends a notification/SSDP CD Event. This additional notification causes the photos to flicker (reload?). Twonky version 7 does not send such a notification and thus there is no such flicker.
The problem is independent of the OS, i.e. same behaviour on Linux and Windows. The traffic has been monitored with Wireshark.
Is there any way to tell Twonky 8 to not send such a notification?
I also see another problem that is perhaps related to Eventing: Since version 8 my QNAP NAS does not go to standby anymore.
With version 7 reinstalled all problems are gone.
Thanks in advance for any support.
