It doesnt show subtitle when streaming local video

Does Twonky supports subtitles? I've read different forums about subtitles and have renamed both video and SRT with the same filename but still not showing it. All files were resident in my WD My book live and and watching video on my Samsung TV via LAN. The odd thing is that the same files work when i am using a USB plug it directly to my Samsung TV thats why I could only assume the issue is from Media service. My Twonky version is 5.19
