Ignore ID3 Tag Metadata - is this possible?

Post by greencheese » Sun Nov 22, 2015 4:33 pm

Hello,

I am hoping to have Twonky ignore metadata / ID3 Tags in my files. For my uses displaying the file name itself is optimal and greatly preferred, but removing the tags is not an option as they are needed for many other non-Twonky uses.

I am running Version: 7.2.9 on on 4 WD MyClouds - so Debian GNU/Linux 7 in effect.

Huge thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

this option is unfortunately only available for Twonky Server 8.1 and later. There you can configure Twonky to show file names instead of title in the By Folder tree. For 7.2 there is no such option.

Best regards,
Marco

Thanks Marco, now i know to stop looking. I'll make sure my next generation of NAS' have 8.1+ or that are upgradable by myself.
