Navigation Tree Setting ignored

Post by z000ao8q » Fri Jan 15, 2016 9:16 pm

I installed 8.2 on QNAP.

I want to use a minimized version on my ios devices.

Setup => Navigation Tree => I selected iPod-like as default
Sharing => Devices => I select the iPhone from the list, select a User and select "iPod-Like"
/etc/config/twonkyvision-mediaserver6.ini says
# default view for clients
defaultview=ipodlike
I restart the server

but whatever I try; no matter if iPhone or normal Safari Browser on the Mac, it will always go to the big navigation tree of "Advanced Media Navigation"

any idea?

thank you!

the only workaround I found: I copy the tree-xml which I want into the advanced.view.xml name and restart the server.
then the layout is changed...

Hi,

The navigation of the web page is set to Advanced View and cannot be changed. The value defaultview is only for external devices.

We will change this behavior in one of the upcoming releases. Then the web browse will use the default navigation too.

Best regards,
Marco
