I am trying out the Media Server to replace Mediabolic on a MSS NAS.
Have Installed the server (Trial Version 4.3) on my XP box to try it out and seem to be having some problems with reaching memory limitations.
Currently the server stops scanning when memory is at about 15MB.
This is around 46K mp3 files, I have >100K on my NAS.
After reading around in the forum and contacting support, I have tried:
http://ip.of.mss:9000/rpc/set_option?maxmem=0
This comes back with "PROPERTY NOT FOUND!"
This might not be a option in XP
as well as starting the windows service from the service manager with this:
-maxmem 128000
Neither seems to have any affect when I do a rebuild.
I can find no reference to Maxmem in any .ini files
Once again I'm running on Windows XP Pro with 1GB RAM.
Is this the way it should work or have I missed something?
Thanks in advance
Mike

Found 'problem'
After runing several rebuilds with logging on I have found that there
is not a memory problem, it seems there is a problem with the page that displays 'Configuration: Server status'
The page stops displaying any activity past
Used memory: 14559 KB
and everything else that is updated past that point.
The log shows that all media is processed and after useing a player
yes indeed everything has been scaned.
Guess just a minor bug.
