Strange 0 byte files appear - how to prevent this?

Everytime i add some MP3s to my collection it seems that Twonky creates 0 byte files for each MP3 i add. They have the syntax
XXXX.mp3.has_invalid_date.twonky (where XXXX stands for the filename).
But the import works and i can play the MP3s on my streamium. Its only strange that these 0 byte files are created. Any idea why?
I am using TwonkyMedia 4.3 (latest version) on a Windows 2000 machine.
