Xbox 360 MP4 Files

Post by ffejie » Sat Jun 23, 2007 11:52 pm

With the spring update, apparently Xbox 360 is supposed to support MP4 files. I've been able to copy these to a flash drive and plug them into Xbox and play with no problem. However, when I put the file on Twonky and try to access them, they either appear on the list and are unplayable (Xbox just sits there when I push play) or they don't show up at all. Am I confused about Twonky's (and Xbox's) capability here, or am I missing something obvious?

I'm running a QNAP TS-101 with Twonky 4.3 and have no problems with WMV files. For more information about the update see http://cavemonkey50.com/2007/04/xbox-36 ... 4-support/
which details the MPEG4 and H.264 support.

It does. Renaming MP4 to M4V works for me!
