Sharing playlists. How does it work?

How does Twonky share and stream playlists to the PS3?
Since I upgraded to 4.4 Beta 5 none of my playlists (.m3u) are included in the Playlist dir. I tried sharing my Playlist folder (on my computer) as a separate folder instead of letting Twonky find the playlists, but it's not included in the share it seems. All I get is an empty Playlist folder under the Music root folder.
Any ideas?
