Hi,
I'm able to see the list of stations, but I get a "internet radio station is unavailable error" with every station I try.
I'm using 4.4 on a NSLU2 server and MP101 client.
Thoughts anyone?

the NSLU2 is in general only picking up the gateway but not the DNS
if possible you should try to ping http://www.shoutcast.com

christian, I don't have a NSLU2 it is a RAIDSONIC NAS-2000 - can you also answer my question please? From where shall I ping http://www.shoutcast.com ? From the NAS? How?? Can you give some more details please? I would love to write a small HOWTO for other users with the same problem if I am successful...
To run shoutcast radio successfully through twonkymedia, the following network settings on the NAS must be fine:warp33 wrote:christian, I don't have a NSLU2 it is a RAIDSONIC NAS-2000 - can you also answer my question please? DNS (Domain Name Server - to resolve http://www.shoutcast.com to a valid IP address) and Standardgateway (to be able to access shoutcast's network).
If you are using DHCP your router is passing these settings to its clients. In this case you must be sure, that DNS and Gateway are correctly set in your router. In many cases, the router's IP is also a good choice for DNS and Gateway, but this depends also on your router and DSL-provider.
BUT: I have already seen some devices which do not correctly take over the settings from the router. If shoutcast radio ist not working, you must check these settings directly from your NAS. In this case you need to login to the NAS (SSH,TELNET,whatever).
Check your network settings with
ifconfig or /sbin/ifconfig
Check your DNS with
nslookup http://www.shoutcast.com
Check your Standard-(Default-)Gateway with
/sbin/route
Check accessibility to shoutcast with
ping http://www.shoutcast.com
shoutcast does not really "answer" to ping, but you should see the resolved IP-number.
Hope, that helps.

although I didn't changed anything - just removed once again twonky 4.3 and tried 4.4 - internet radio is now working. I cross my fingers, because I have the bad bad feeling that with the next rebuild of the database the problem can reoccur. Like often, some problem disappear without reason - thanks for all of your help. Anyways, what if someone has no telnet to the NAS? Raidsonic doesn't support that. And: If I try to ping http://www.shoutcast.com this will give a timeout
