Post by mats2508 » Tue Jul 17, 2007 10:30 am

Hi,

I am looking for all my Playlists but no client shows this lists. In earlier Versions this feature was never a problem.

Any Suggestions and Ideas?

Same problem here,

I just installed Twonky 4.4 on a ICY BOX IB-2000 NAS which worked just fine. Everything is working except that the server is not showing any playlists (.m3u) at all?

Any suggestions?

Sascha

@starhubble: what kind of NAS do you use? Surprise, I have my playlists back... I have a RAIDSONIC-NAS and I think the problems are somehow related to that. I tried it again with 4.4 and now use auto-scan every 60 minutes (before I disabled it to spin-down the disk). Now I don't have to rebuild the database which caused the problems before. Anyways, I cross my fingers if I have to restart the twonky server again.... Have you asked TwonkyMedia support?

warp33,

I'm streaming from a PC to my PS3, and I think this problem surfaced with version 4.4 Beta 5. No clue what's causing it. Twonky used to find my playlists automatically and share them.

Hmmm. I managed to solve this. Twonky can find my playlists when they are stored under:

D:\Music\Mp3\Playlists

But not when they are stored under:

D:\Music\Mp3\Playlists\Subfolder\Subfolder

Very odd. I thought the directory structure and placement of the playlists had nothing to do with it. I thought Twonky scanned the entire shared sector for playlists.

Anyhow... it works again!

I think this is one of the mysteries of Twonky. In my case it did work sometimes but not always. Sometimes it recognized the playlists - no problem where there are stored - and sometimes it didn't.... :o

I have the same problem!

I just downgraded from 4.4 to 4.3 because under 4.4 my D-Link DSM320 didn't play movies anymore.

I used 4.1 before i updated to 4.4 and everything worked fine. :!:

I'm having this problem from time to time and I've found that simply moving the playlists from their current folder and rescanning the content directories will get Twonky to include them in the share again (oddly enough!).

Try it... see if it helps.

Thx, it worked. Had same problem with 4.4. Moved playlists to another directory and back, did a rescan and they were back. Strange, but it works

I seem to have my issues with my playlists if I have Twonky's internet radio enabled. However, I do not seem to have playlist problems with internet raido is disabled.

When you restart the server all playlists vanish until they become new files. Moving them or resaving them and then a rescan will get them back until the next server restart.
Can we get this fixed please.

Didn't help here - neither iTunes nor manually added, nor moved nor renamed nor ... playlists work.

Anybody got it to work on 4.4.2?

Hi folks,

same problem in my environment (Netgear MP101, Win XP, Twonky running as service). After moving the playlists to a different location and back they reappeared on my Netgear.
I built another workaround in creating a system policy that starts a script during windows startup with no need to logon to tze machine. This script simply alters the file endings of my playlist files from .m3u to something else, pauses a few seconds and alters them back to .m3u. After this the playlists are recognized by Twonky again.
Hopefully this issue will be fixed in future versions...
