itunes AAC and hanbrake AVC not playing on PS3

Post by iann » Sat Aug 18, 2007 9:09 am

Hi,

I've just got Twonky up and running, it's great for MP3's and MPEG 1 / 2 stuff. However, i can't get it to play any of my itunes ripped library. It shows the files as unsupported data? The files play back fine from a USB drive plugged directly into my PS3.

I presume i've got the same problem with the AVC video as they contain AAC audio?

Any help solutions or workarounds would be great.

Cheers.

PS

My setup is Twonky 4.4, running on NSLU2 with a PS3 connected

There is a PS3 profile in Handbrake, are you using that?

Just tried using the PS3 preset and all is good on the AVC front. Unfortunately i've got a pretty extensive collection of stuff that won't work with the PS3, surely they don't need completely re-encoding?

My only problem now is the AAC files, any ideas on this?
