Hy there,
i got Twonky-Server (4.4) installed on my Intel SS4000 using a
Buffalo Linktheater for streaming.
All 3 'ladies cooperated' until saturday evening. From saturday
to sunday there was a power blackout and since then i can't neither
access my Twonky Configpage (http://ipfromNAS:9000) nor
NAS/Twonky via SSH.
Another curious thing: the location on my NAS, where i put the twonkyserver files, has gone.
TwonkyServer isn't uninstalling himself after trial period has expired?
Any hints how to reach TwonkyServer Config or my NAS via SSH again?
Best regards, Z
Twonky no longer reachable
Re: Twonky no longer reachable
Hm, ...
98 hits, no replies?
Either it doesn´t seem that anybody else got the same problems (but i don´t think so) or there is to small knowledge base concerning Twonky and SS4000.
It´s a pity, but this is the first discussion board where i didn`t get an answer on an initial posting (and honestly i still don´t think that i am the only person with that specific problem).
So, have to investigate on my own `bout the failure scenario
(and considering if providing found information or not)

Meantime, more than 220 hits and still not the merest hint on any suggestion how to solve that problem i got.
Just a question for filtering:
Does anybody own an Intel SS4000 here?

nothing is 'kosher' at all.
I can´t access my NAS (neither Webinterface nor SSH) and my Router doesn't find my NAS.
I forgot to mention that i made an update of my firmware when power broke down.
I am at my wits' end now and i don't know how to access my nas to fix the problem.

This isn't really a Twonky problem, but a hosed NAS problem. Short of contacting vendor, try hooking th NAS directly to a puter to troubleshoot, and I'd start by assigning a static IP on the NAS. The power outage may have bricked the NAS' OS, even if the drive spins up. No joy, then Im afraid it's off to vendor for help. G'Luck!
The ss4000-E comes with 2 CDs. one of them has a piece of software called the "storage system console". You need to load that on a PC.zungerl wrote:Hy,
thanks for your reply.
What do you mean with 'hooking th NAS directly to a puter?wideasleep1 wrote:... try hooking th NAS directly to a puter to troubleshoot, and I'd start by assigning a static IP on the NAS....
-Connect a cross-over network cable from your PC nic to the NAS NIC1.
-Turn on the NAS and wait for a couple minutes
-start the "storage system console"
you should be able to see your nas. click on your nas and click on "Log on storage system manager"
The default username is "admin" and the default password is "storage" all lower case.
I just got one and could not see it also. The reason for the cross over cable is to rule out any hub /router issues.
I would love to know where you found the info on loading Twonky on it.
Hopes it helps.
