HTTP Connect (Port 80) at Server-Startup

Post by Gennaio Winger » Fri Sep 21, 2007 2:40 pm

The application "twonkymediaserver" wants to connect to charlie458.server4you.de on TCP port 80 (http).

Why???? Is this a homecall for checking the license?

Yes. And to load VTuner/Shoutcast info, IIRC.

Okay, thx..

Is there any problem if I deny this by firewall? There's no need for VTuner or Shoutcast... btw. what is IIRC?

I allow to connect at the first startup to activate my license. Is there any need for connect every time Twonky starts? I am not paranoid, but I don't like all this unsecure connections..
