Hi,
We have now released TwonkyMedia 4.4.3 Beta 1
http://www.twonkyvision.com/Download/Tw ... -beta.html
What's new in Version 4.4.3 Beta 1
----------------------------------------------------
+ support for Philips WAS7000
+ support for Zyxel DMA-1000
+ AAC support for PS3!
Changes:
o upload can now be enabled/disabled through the uploadenabled flag
o different directories for upload for music/picture/video can be set now
o revised EXIF parser for pictures which extracts date information and thumbnails
Bug fixes:
- fixed broken iTunes import
- remove cache of transcoded content on database rebuild to free up used disk space
- fixed playlist update problem
- fixed problem that playlist are not removed from database
- fixed DSM-320 DivX streaming problem
- fixed WPL playlists containing special characters
Known issues:
- on some systems SMS style navigation with Philips clients seems not to work.
this can not be reproduced in our environemt.
- we list up to 25 radio stations per genre. it may be less if duplicate stations occur
- removable and network drives are not supported
- Zyxel DMA-1000 only supports very few Shoutcast radio stations
- PS3 does not support any Shoutcast radio stations
Thanks
Christian

- Still no way to remove "ALL" (ALL pictures, ALL movies, etc... from the navigation tree)
- Still no way to browse by folders logically.
I love your soft but those 2 points need to be addressed imho!

- Still no way to browse by folders logically.
Do you even read suggestions Christian?- Navigation tree folder name enhancements:
Let's say I want to add a directory to the share, for example:
D:\Music\Mp3\Blub\
This directory contains a number of files...
a.mp3
b.mp3
c.mp3
I add the directory to the share and set it up as "Music-Only", which tells Twonky that it should be displayed under the Music root folder.
Now, the problem is that Twonky will not add this directory to the Music root folder, but rather the files it contains:
Music\
a.mp3
b.mp3
c.mp3
There should be a way of making the directory appear as a subdirectory under the root folder:
Music\Blub\
a.mp3
b.mp3
c.mp3
If all shared music files are shoved directly into the root folder things get real messy.
Ie: if I share a folder called "XYZ", I would like TwonkyMedia to show this folder in the navigation tree, keeping its structure intact and letting me browse it the way it is originally organized on the PC side.
Every other Media Server does this for folder navigation, the quite horrible Tversity, FUPES, etc.. so why not Twonky!?
I love your soft but those 2 points need to be addressed imho!

Looks like Denon AVR4308 still sees WMA lossless as pictures rather than music files when they have album art integrated. (They become unplayable without album art.)
FLAC on the AVR4308 also stops playing at random times, like the network connection is lost, but it's not.
Granted, the AVR4308 firmware right now is really beta, but still, WMA works like a charm from WMP11...

How do you get Itunes playlists to work? I downloaded the latest beta version and have the external application pointing to the Itunes XML file. All I get under playlists is -Most Played- and -Last Played-. Please help!
I played around a bit more and it seems to be working now - I am getting all my Itunes playlists. Thanks!

Yikes. Seems unstable. The web configuration giving me lots of trouble. Seems to be in an endless rescan loop. I'm back to 4.4.2 and all is well.

EXIF: we changed the scanner to get all dates and thumbs from all cameras plus VISTA metadata (tags) which we will use in a next version
The 12:00 clock PS3 problem can not be resolved as the UPnP protocol defines date as YYYY-MM-DD (there is no time in the filed at all
If you are using MP3 only this can not be the problem - must be something else
Looks like a lot of restarts triggered to .ini file re-reads
Which web browser (and which system) are you using ?
Thanks
Christian

Thanks. The 12:00 thing is no big deal. All music is mp3, all pics are jpeg, I have some video that I'm playing around with. Browser is IE6. Twonky is on Linux 2.6.9twonky-christian wrote:EXIF: we changed the scanner to get all dates and thumbs from all cameras plus VISTA metadata (tags) which we will use in a next version

Than you deleted the wrong fileogre_x wrote:Tried it. Didn't work. Still asks for username and password.twonky-christian wrote:its empty
you may try and just delete the twonkyvision-mediaserver.ini file
It is for sure the twonkyvision-mediaserver.ini file where the server stores this info.
Or is the username/password request from a different web server (may be you are on port 80) ?

However, twonky recreates it with these values:
# accessuser
accessuser=test
# accesspwd
accesspwd=::9D6E7C7D7
I tried to use the method of creating these using the twonkymedia-default.ini, but then there seem to be an encoding problem (couldn't login with the given password).
A blank password here fixed the problem and I'm allowed to log in. You night want to test this a little bit more.
