Correct Album track order

I am using Twonky media server to serve music to my Philips SLA5520.

I have seen older posts on this topic but no definitive answer.

Tracks in Albums are ordered alphabetically (unlike TVersity) and I can see no setting for choosing the correct Album track order. The track file names have the track number as a prefix and the tracks are ordered properly if viewed by windows media player. Any ideas?

I use Twonkymedia (windows) and a SLA5520 as well, but I have no problem with the trackorder. I use ID3tags version 2 and the tracknumber field is filled correct.

Alpha order

I had a similar problem with my Ziova/Zensonic equipment and resolved it here:-

Thanks for the feedback. I cannot find clients.db on my windows set up. Can you let me know where to find it?

Thanks

In Program Files->Twonkymedia->Resources

And you will have to restart Twonky server to make the profile active and I usually to a full database rebuild just to be sure.

Can't get it to work

I use ID3 tags to and the album field is populated. Twonky still serves up in alpha order. Strange!

Speaking of track ordering, is there a way to sort by disc number as well? I use iTunes to organise my collection, and what I do is import multi disc albums in with the same name (for instance The Annual 2008), and differentiate between each disc with the disc number field. When I play an album, I'd like it to play each disc in sequence, rather than play disc 1 track 1, then disc 2 track 1, then disc 1 track 2, etc.

All clients seem to exhibit this behaviour, including XBOX 360, PS3, my TV and the web UI.
