Hi,

I am running Twonky 4.4 to stream to my Phillips Stream SL300i. I was not overlly happy with the Phillips software that came with at so I went looking to see what I could find.

After a few different options I decided to go with Twonky. I downloaded the trial and let that run is 30 days. After that, I decided to buy the product.

Now, when I start my streamium, I get a message saying that the Twonky server has expired. To resolve this, I need to login to my computer (Vista Ultimate) start the server app from the desktop. Then I have to terminate the server from the icon in the tray and start it again.

This is a bit of a pain really and I would rather not have to do this.

Can anyone help?

I can't help, but I have the same problem.

TwonkyMedia was working for a long time, but when I turned on my Noxon today, I got the same error message (in german).

I bought a "lifetime license" about two years ago. If I remember correctly, I had this problem at least once before.

I have the same problem, which I've posted a few months ago. But nobody could help me.
Yesterday the problem appears again, after many weeks.

I have noticed that my .ini files keeps being reset to zero-size, thereby removing the license key. I now keep a backup so I can repair it quickly. Could that be the problem?

I am having the same problem. It has happened twice so far. Every few weeks, it dumps everything and I have to re-enter my key and recreate my video/audio/photo tree structures. This is a MAJOR pain and obviously a bug in this latest version.
Can anyone comment on whether or not this is an issue being worked on for the next release? And also, when the next release may be?

...and again. Only a 4 days Twonkymedia will work with my reg.-key. Today it is deleted and all my settings are gone.
Twonkymedia runs with Windows Vista 32bit.

Just sent an email to support directing them to this thread. Hopefully, we can get some response to this problem.

I have a similar issue with Twonky 4.4.2 on an NSLU2.
Every once in a while the server loses all settings including the reg key. This usually (only) happens if I reboot the NSLU2. It doesn't happen on every reboot, but probably on every fifth restart.

Has anyone tried deleting the default ini file to see if that fixes the problem? I have to restart my service about every 10 minutes since updating to 4.3.

I'm afraid to update again as I imagine I'll have a whole new batch of problems.

Is there no way to fix this problem??? In the last days I had the problem two times again. It bugs so...

With the new Version 4.4.4 it works all fine. No more lost licence key.
