MediaServer and LaCie 320 gig mini disk

Post by slablanc » Tue Jan 15, 2008 3:47 pm

I just received my LaCie preloaded with Twonky MediaServer. I was able to get the LaCie connected to my network and I enabled the MediaServer option in the administration media tab.

When I try and stream music to my Xbox 360 my Xbox sees the LaCie but says connection failed when I try to connect

Anyone run into this and / or have any ideas with the best way for me to troubleshoot?

Thanks for the help

Same here, XBOX 360, Lacie Ethernet Disk mini 500 GB.

The software on my Lacie is up to date, Version 1.1.1 and I enabled the configuration page.

No ideas so far...

I upgraded to 1.1.1 last night and have the music working, but my folder structure for photos and videos is not correct. Is there a way to customize how the server displays the photos, it looks like it defaults to date or all photos. But what I'd really like to see is the folder tree I created on the hard drive.

Any suggestions would be great!

You should e-mail Lacie and ask them to provide the TwonkyMedia Administration Pages patch, which will allow you to apply tree structures to your Music, Photo and Video collection. Why they do not provide better configurability with their own firmware is beyond me. I guess it's because the media server option was added as an after thought!

Hey thanks for the info. I'll send them an email and ask for the patch.
