Q: how to get rid of the 1st navigation level?

Hi all,
when my streaming client attaches to my twonkymedia server, it shows three topics: "pictures", "music" and "video". It only can play music so I would like to get rid of this navigation level. I could not find anything in the adminstrative webfront end of my twonkymedia server, so may be, someone here knows, how to do it (or how to tweak the sources

.
Best regards,
Ralf

I hope there's a way to remove "ALL Images" "All Movies" etc.. and pretty mcuh everything the user wants to remove when using Custom mode.
Been requesting this for a while, as some others peeps did too, but nothing is being done..
Christian, please listen to users!

You keep saying this, but as I pointed out in another thread, TVersity has an option for simple navigation using files/folders. It works fine with the PS3.

Indeed Trendy.
FUPPES does this also extremely well, and for free.
I cannot figure out why Christian wants to force this useless stuff on Twonky users.

Same here - this is really annoying - I have several clients, none of which can deal with photos and videos - please help.

Hi Guys,
actually there
is an option to at least get rid of the "Music, Video, Pictures" level for audio-only devices:
It is under "Endgeräte". You have to choose "Generic Music Only Receiver" for this.
This way, only the Music folder's content is available for the client.
Unfortunately this feature is not working in 4.4.4 due a severe device detection bug (happened when TV changed from IP-based to MAC-address based client detection in RC2!).
And why I agree, it would be even better if one could disable the -ALL- feature, I first of all like to have it for ALL folders (it isn't available for some folders in Pictures, see also my posting at
http://www.twonkyforum.com/viewtopic.ph ... highlight=).
But first we need to have the Twonky-guys being back in this forum...

Hey, great, this "Generic music only receiver" settings works for me, on TM 4.4.2 - thanks !!
And unless someone convinces me that 4.4.4 is so much better, I won't migrate.

Werner

You can also:
1) Set navigation tree to 'custom'
2) navigate to the 'Naming' section on the left hand side of the config
3) Delete the names for Video and Photos, leaving these two blank will supress those menus.
That's it.
