Problem with iTunes playlists (mini investigation inside!!!)

I have emailed this issue to the official support, but I thought I would post here too just incase someone else has come across this
I’ve recently registered TwonkyMediaServer for use with my PS3, but for the life of me, I can’t seem to get iTunes playlist support to work! All I have under the playlists part of the “webbrowse†(and my PS3) are “–Last played-“ and “–Most played-“, none of my playlists are listed.
I’m pretty sure that everything is set up okay; under the “External applications†section I have set my iTunes library file to: “c:\Documents and Settings\duncan\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music Library.xmlâ€. If I copy and paste that path into the run box under the start menu, it successfully opens a very large xml file (proving that the path is valid).
Now, here’s the interesting part… If I click “Rebuild Database†under “Maintenanceâ€, we see that twonkmediaserver.exe starts using about 30% cpu for about 7 minutes, and then itunes-import.exe takes over, using 100% CPU for about 3 minutes. During this time we see that itunes.import.temp.items and itunes.import.temp.playlists are created in “…\Application Data\TwonkyMedia\twonkymedia.db\temp†and start to grow in size (up to 3.3MB and 1.3MB respectively).
Then twonkymediaserver.exe takes over the CPU again (this time at 100%), and the temp files disappear and are replaced by itunes.import.playlists and itunes.import.items in “…\Application Data\TwonkyMedia\twonkymedia.dbâ€.
twonkymediaserver.exe uses 100% CPU for a further 10 minutes, after which both the itunes.import.playlists and itunes.import.items files are deleted. But here’s where it gets even stranger... – just before the point in which the files are deleted, the “webbrowse†starts to show my iTunes playlists – one by one, as the server is parsing them – then, just before the CPU use drops off they all disappear! The playlists seem to disappear while the log file is showing “LOG_DB:removing shadow filesâ€, but this is only a guess.
My media library is 139GB spread over 13,000 mp3s, 300GB in 1000 videos and 2,500 photos.
Note that I reset all settings to default before reproducing this issue.
I'm using version 4.4.4.
I’ve zipped up the log file of the whole process and also a copy of the “itunes.import.playlists†file which I took before twonkymediaserver.exe deleted it. These are available here: http://www.duncangrist.com/twonky.zip
I hope you can help – let me know if there’s any more information you need.
