Can't play FLAC files

Post by pangloss » Fri May 09, 2008 7:30 pm

I have all my music stored in FLAC format, and the files play fine when opened with a music player directly (such as MediaMonkey).

As soon as I try to open them from a UPNP AV client (I tried both my Helios X5000 as well as the UPNP Plugin in MediaMonkey), the FLAC files show, but don't play. Does anybody have an idea what might be wrong? Other files (MP3 for example) play without a problem.

I tried both Twonky 4.4.4 on my QNAP 109 Pro (NAS) as well as the latest PC version (4.4.4i) installed on a Windows XP. Same result.

Thank you very much for your help.

I have the same problem. Before with Twonky 4.2 everything was fine.

I thought that there was a plugin for decoding flac to wav on the fly, but I can´t find it anymore.
