Unexpected "(" When Starting Server

Post by gadgee32 » Wed Jul 30, 2008 9:18 pm

Hello, have been trying to install various versions of twonky on my DSM G600 to no avail (to stream audio to mp101)

I have telnet enabled and have set all the permissions of all the files, but when type twonkymdia.sh I get the following (on all versions):

# /mnt/HD_a2/twonkymedia/twonkymedia.sh
startdirname: No such file or directory
Starting /mnt/HD_a2/twonkymedia/twonkymedia ... /mnt/HD_a2/twonkymedia/twonkymedia: 1: Syntax error: "(" unexpected

I am a linux novice, OK at following guides but when a problem comes up then I get stuck. Cant find a solution on any of the forums.

I hope it is something simple, but can anyone help.

Thanks in advance

G

With further investigation I have determined that the error lie when the following line in mediaserver.sh is run:

$TWONKYSRV -D -inifile "${INIFILE}"

Note:
TWONKYSRV = /mnt/HD_a2/twonky/twonkymedia
INIFILE = /mnt/HD_a2/twonky/twonkymediaserver.ini

These references seem correct with regards the file system

Thanks for any help
