Problem with 4.4.9 and playlists

Post by sektoderselters » Sun Oct 12, 2008 10:41 am

Hi folks,

I have a problem concerning playlists. I've got 40 tracks in a winamp-created-40-tracks playlist (*.pls) but when opening this file
(i.e. on a soundbrigde) there are only 20 left. What am I doing wrong?

cheers

ok, some news on that,

it seems to me that the server has it's issues with the german ä,ü,ä & ß. Obviously playlistfiles with that characters won't be "found" in their
directories ...

Does anyone has got a solution an that - would be great.

cheers

Hi,

I've seen the same issue. The first thing duringafter installation was all predefinated names (upload dir: music instead of Musik, treenames not the contents of the dropdownbox a.s.o.) appears in english and not in german.

In most of previous releases I hadn't this issue.

...same problem here. It doesn't matter if it's a *.wpl or a *.m3u playlist. Even playlistnames without special german characters are not found. :(

Same here. After upgrading to 4.4.9 my playlists (m3u) have vanished. They still exist on file, but are not listed by the MediaServer. I just get the Last Played and Most Played lists (which appear to functioning the wrong way around).

It doesn't have anything to do with German characters.

Same with me, but not for all *.m3us.

Those who don't work with the 4.4.9 looks like this:
  • #EXTM3U
    #EXTINF:409,01 - Bahnhofskino
    Bahnhofskino.mp3
    #EXTINF:325,02 - Drei Wünsch frei
    Drei Wuensch frei.mp3
    ....
    ....
Those who work don't have anything behind the "#EXTINF:409"
  • #EXTM3U
    #EXTINF:409
    Bahnhofskino.mp3
    #EXTINF:325
    Drei Wuensch frei.mp3
    ....
    ....
:D The TwonkyMediaServer 4.4.7 accept both kinds of m3us.

I just up'd to 4.4.9 and, as you've all pointed out, my Playlists have dissappeared.
I backed off to 4.4.6 and all is well.
No German characters as far as I know.

Hi,

I just upgraded to 4.4.9 and I am having the same issue. None of my .m3u files were being listed in the saved playlists. After reading this post I went and take a look at the contents of the .m3u files and this is what I have.

C:\MyStreams\DJDread.m3u

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1,DJ Dread@420Club.com : playing mostly marley mon
http://205.234.238.42:5460

I remove the -1 on the second line and the file appears in the saved playlists but it still isnt right. when I select it in xbox it says unknown instead of the station name although it does play the stream.

Any fix for this yet. they were working fine with 4.4.6 or 4.4.7 whatever I was running an hour ago.

peace,

Hi,

I've reported this to the support and they answered that this is a known issue and will be fixed in the next release ...

Okay, now word about when this fix will be released.

Hello,

over 1000 views and no solution ...

I don't know if I'm the only one who thought that PV should stop working on this creepy new layout and solve this problem ...

In my case, it's the same ... When removing the EXTINF and EXTINFUTF8 line from the M3U, the playlistis shown, but I can't play anything.

Hi,

I have to correct the last post: After removing the EXTINF - lines the playlists are working fine.

It seems that the problem is this EXTINF line ... German characters like äöü or ß are not the problem.
