...i was told that the only way to stream .m2ts files with twonky is to rename all the files (.mpg)...as this would be very inconvenient for me (100eds of short clips from my hd-camcorder in almost as many subdirectories) i hope u have another solution for me...
the content is played with ps3...
thank u very much
gerald

Re: twonky and .m2ts....
I have some m2ts files here and Twonky streams them to my PS3 without any problems. No renaming required.
Re: twonky and .m2ts....

Re: twonky and .m2ts....
ok here is the new situation:
twonky: 4.4.4 (would u recommend an update?)
firmware-update for ps3 done; now: version 2.50
.m2ts files can be played now by ps3 but only if i choose "all files" (all .m2ts are shown in a row)..which is better than nothing but relatively unconvenient because the files do have automatically generated names: 0000, 0001,0002 etc...and a lot of the files do have identical names(stored in directories per day), whereafter you cant sort them... so i would need to use the option: selection "by direcorty" ....but if i choose file-selection "by directory": only the directories "STREAM" (e.g.: directory/2008 10 16/private/avchdl/bdmv/stream) are shown...abd the .m2ts-files inthese directories are not shown and therefore cant be played??
as english is not native to me i hope u understand my problem and furthermore can help me sort it out...
thanxx
gerald
edit: in the meantime i updated the firmware of my qnap ts 109 proII that includes the twonky media server..new version of twonky is now: 4.4.6...anyhow, no difference so far....

nobody here with an idea to sort out my problem?
Re: twonky and .m2ts....
Could you try to copy *.mts/m2ts out of the stream folder or even at the same level of AVCHD? I can play mts by folder.

Re: twonky and .m2ts....
i will try this....but if i copy (or cut?) the .m2ts stream on AVCHD-level, would this cause problems for editing the files lateron with e.g. pinnacle? actually i dont really understand what i need all the other directories for...
