tms 5.0.40 on windows: problem with roku soundbridge

hi,
i installed tms 5.0.40 on a windows machine and i found a few problems. first of all, even though i set auto rescan to 0, which disables auto rescan, it would rescan everytime i start up twonky. and second, the worst problem i found so far...it doesn't matter that i choose to play artist, album or song. the soundbridge would retrieve all that's in my library. it should retrieve only the dozen or so songs in a particular album if i choose to play from that album, but it seems to be requesting songs from the entire library. it looks like a roku thing, because on the ps3, it works fine. however, the version i used (4.3) previous to this worked perfectly. so this is a step back for version 5 for me.
pictures work fine on the ps3. but for video, it's iffy. tivo files converted to mpeg2 play fine as long as the original tivo file doesn't come from an hd source. with mpeg 2 files converted from an hd tivo program, the ps3 would complain that the file is corrupted. since the ps3 is built to play blu-ray as well, i don't think that this is a limitation on the ps3. so is there a limit to the bit rate/size of video files that twonky can serve?
