Issues with streaming MKV and VOB to Vista WMP11

Hi,
Maybe some of the experts can help me...
I am running TwonkyMedia Server 5.0 on an XP machine. I have a few MKV and VOB files that I wish to stream. My client is a Vista PC running Windows Media Player 11 (WMP11).
The problem:
Vista WMP11 cannot play the MKV and VOB files when streamed through Twonky. It plays other files just fine. The MKV and VOB files play just fine when I run them locally from the Vista PC using WMP11. So this tells me that there are no issues with the codecs on Vista.
Does anyone have any insight into this issue? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
