Preferred DVD Rip Method

Post by razmaspaz » Sun May 17, 2009 5:27 am

I just got Twonky working with my TV, a Pioneer 5020 FD that supports MPEG-2 TS, PS(?) and I'm trying to figure out what the best option for storing my dvds is. I don't think I can just rip them as ISOs, though that would be preferred. What is the preferred way to store them so that Twonky can serve up the video to my TV with 5.1 sound? I'm on a Mac so if there is a program that is preferred that would be helpful too.

Thanks

For Windows, check out this guide:

For Mac (and anything else), take a look atr ripping using Handbrake (http://handbrake.fr/), and RIP the main movie to either MPEG2 or MPEG4.
