Album play feature appears to have gone AWOL

Post by steamhead » Tue Aug 25, 2009 12:26 pm

I upgraded my Video server from 4.4 to 5.0.86 and produced a nice custom tree that worked for me, now I'm working on what I can do with trees to upgrade my music server and spotted a fairly crucial feature that has gone missing from the Twonky Web Browser.

Under 4.4 when presented with a list of albums you could click on the triangle to the left if the album title and it would play the entire album. My early tests with 5.0.68 shows that feature has disappeared, the triangle in unclickable.

Have I done something wrong, or has that feature disappeared? (and if so when can we have it back?)

Sorry I can't help with your issue but thanks for pointing out that you can play a whole album this way - I hadn't worked out how to do it until I saw your post. BTW, it still works in 4.4.18.

I would also like to know what happened to this feature. I hacked together a GreaseMonkey script to produce a list of the song URLs so I could make my own M3U files, but that is an unnecessary pain in the rear.

Is there a way to customize the media browser UI to bring this back? Any word from the Devs about why it is missing? It was a great feature!
