Hello,
Im running Twonky on a Windows XP PC.
This PC has 2 lan drives attached via NET USE as a LAN drive.
In Twonky, I don't see these drive. I'm only seeing the physical drives.

How can I setup Twonky to also use the LAN drives to scan for media files?

Regards
Martin

Have you tried mapping the LAN drives as network drives from XP so that they then have their own drive letters?

Open My Computer and choose Tools, Map Network Drive... The select the drive letter you want to use and and network drive to map to it. Twonky should then be able to see the mapped drives.

Hello, I also tried mapping the network drive to a drive letter (e.g. M:\).
But the Twonky Server does not list the mapped drive.

Hi Martin

Which version of Twonky are you using. I'll download the same version and try it on my PC with networked drives.

At the moment I only have TMS installed on my NAS.

I tried with v4.4.18 as that is the same as my NAS version and came across your problem straight away. On the Sharing config page, network shares do not show up in the list when you press the Browse buttons, even if they are mapped as network drives. But...

You can just type the network path URL into the box i.e. \\<your-server-name>\Music and it works fine.

It doesn't work if you use the IP address instead of the server name i.e.\\192.168.2.xxx\Music didn't work even though it points to the same location as \\<my-server-name>\Music.
