Any idea why TMS 5.1 is not able to save settings

Hi, for some reason I cannot save settings through TMS 5.1 config page - it says my license has expired but at the same time TMS refuses to save registeration key among other settings. It doesn't give any error message in config page but changes to are not saved.
I have Buffalo Linkstation Live LS-CHL and I installed the new version using nassetup.exe (package was downloaded from twonkymedia forum)
Any advice on how to proceed?

... in my efforts of trying to figure out why TMS was not able to save settings via config view I ended up into a situation that config view cannot be accessed anymore.
I'm looking for complete instructions on how to clean and reinstall TMS 5.1 to Buffalo Linkstation Live LS-CHL (ARM9) from the scratch. Can somebody who has been in same situation provide me step-by-step guide through the process.

Not been in the same situation as you but I did like to totally clean out Twonky between installations of different 5.1 beta versions.
If you can remote login to your LS then run PS and then kill the Twonkymedia process(es) that are running (use killall twonkymedia) - this seems to give a better uninstall if this is done first.
Run the installation file again but only select the uninstall previous version option.
Then go back into the LS and delete any Twonky folders under /var.
Also clean out the installation folder that Twonky went into.
The run the installation file again and do a full installation this time.
Hope that helps.

Thanks PeeBee,
... naturally PS didn't work in my environment - just got an error of a missing library. Otherwise I did as you proposed and I'm still in the square one - cannot access the config pages. Also it seems that the /etc/init.d/twonky for some reason is not automatically starting mediaserver but I have to do it manually. When using the exact commands from /etc/init.d/twonky I get following:
TwonkyMedia Version 5.1
using logfile /tmp/TwonkyMediaServer-log.txt
For image conversion and scaling the TMS utilizes ImageMagick. For details on the license please see /mnt/disk1/share/twonky/cgi-bin/convert-readme.txt
---
... so it looks like twonkymedia is running but my Bravia is not able to find Linkstation.
Any further advice is highly appreciated.

... is there a way to reinstall my LS-CHL from an image - just to wipe and replace all functionality but to preserve the date on /disk1/share?

OK - now I'm safely back to my TwonkyMedia 4.4.8 version. Good. Now I would like to get good coaching on how to update to TMS version which tackles the MP3 streaming problems with my Bravia TV.
Seems that I lost the telnet connectivity in the firmware reset process so I have to start from that but when I have telnet connectivity, what are the steps for non Linux savvy person.
Cheers,

... after installing acp, getting telnet access back I tried to install TMS 5.1 on top of 4.4.8 as PeeBee instructed above. End result is that when manually starting (using same commands as in /etc/init.d/twonky) I get following when running PS:
PID TTY TIME CMD
6643 pts/0 00:00:00 sh
11205 pts/0 00:00:00 twonkymedia
11579 pts/0 00:00:00 twonkymediaserv <defunct>
11666 pts/0 00:00:00 ps
... also I cannot access the :9000 config page. How should I proceed with this - TMS 5.1 stays dead as rock in my LS-CHL.
