I've been serving music (AAC files) from my PC to my Roku Soundbridge using Firefly for a couple of years without problem.

I decided to go the NAS route, and bought a WD MyBook World Edition (1Tb) as it had a Twonky server built in (version 4.4.9w). However, since this point I've had a few issues:

1. After copying all my music to the NAS, the Roku can see the files but refuses to play the. It will only play if I convert them to MP3 (obviously, not ideal).

2. I copied all my videos to the NAS. Directory structure is
/shared videos/comedy
/shared videos/documentaries
/shared videos/films

and then within each directory, each video has its own directory (this way, I can include a .jpg file, and my PS3 will display the cover art in the all video listing)


However, when I hit the "all video" option on my PS3 there doesn't seem to be any logical reason for the order in which the videos are displayed. For eaxample, the start of the list is:
Doomsday (from the TV folder)
His Girl Friday (from the film folder)
Meet John Doe
Sherlock Jr
The General
The Great Dictator
10 Things I Hate About You
Great Expectations
The Great Escape
AFL Grand Final 1998 (from the sport folder)
Looking for Alibrandi (from the film folder)
Atlantis
Atonement
Austin Powers
Clueless
A Hard Days Night
A Mighty Wind
Barenaked Ladies - Barenaked in America(from the music folder)
Barton Fink(from the film folder)
Batman
Jane Eyre Episode 1
Jane Eyre Episode 2
Planet Earth - Caves
Planet Earth - Deserts
.......

and so on......



This isn't a PS3 issue, as this happens in the web view on Twonky.

Any ideas on how to get a simple alphabetical view?
Or any other organisation?

Set your content location for Videos to /shared videos and use Folder view. Then, on the PS3, choose Videos, Twonky, Videos, Folder and you should see your top-level folders (comedy, documentaries, films). Under that you'll see a list of the film folders.

The only problem with this is that I don't get the cover art displayed (I realsie this ais a PS3 issue, but still annoying).

And I still have no idea which order Twonky is listing my files in!
