Denon-3808 sort order

Post by Meller » Sat Nov 14, 2009 5:30 pm

Hi,
I was first using Tms 5.0.68 and it worked perfectly to stream to my Denon-3808 under the trial period. After the trial i bought Tms5 package and installed now the sort order is all messed up. Its like choosing a track with random on.
I have tried to edit clients.db and add XM:IGNORESORT under Denon, it worked for a day then it started to randomize again.

Need help
Mikael

Could you try TMS 5.1.1 RC in the Beta section and let me know if you still have this problem by sending mail to tmm-beta@pv.com?

I received this e-mail this morning:
Hi Rick,
I discovered the problem last night to be a Denon issue. It must be a bug in Denons latest firmware that not saves RANDOM and REPEAT options. And what i can se in the manual, RANDOM shall not even work with Media Servers.
Thanks for the support, now Twonky works lika a charm again.

Mikael
At least we now know the cause of this problem. I suspect Denon will fix it in an upcoming firmware update.
